Every islamic country celebrates the month of Ramadan, the month where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Morocco has a special way of celebrating this occasion by preparing special dessert for Ramadan, like Chebakia (a sesame/ honey delicay) sweet, tasteful, traditional cookie. It is served without fail on a Moroccan Ramadan table. Traditionally, a few days before Ramadan, the girls and women in the family make a large number of Chebakiya that could last for the entire month of Ramadan.
